"Lazy audiences members, skip this one. But if you show up ready to work and feel and think. HILDEGARD/KNEF will touch you and break you and free you."

Scott S. Semester, IndyFringe 2019.

For me, the things that separates theatre from other art forms is its intimacy and immediacy; it is what excites (and terrifies) me about our craft and something I seek to inhabit every production.

Even in a massive space, there is something very intimate about the process of a body in space telling a story to an audience. There is an inherent sexuality to it, something personal; that can be very confronting.

Theatre is an immediate reaction. Great theatre is written and created as a response to the world at large in both political and personal ways.  This is why I have chosen to work predominantly in developing new projects and collaborating with artists to create works that have an urgency, whilst still being accessible and universal.
